How To Stop Hiccups
There's a free, simple, cure for hiccups: a breathing exercise called SSMI, developed by Luc Morris, Jennifer Marti and David Ziff in 2004.
First, inhale a big deep breath and hold for 10 seconds.
Then -- without exhaling -- top up that breath with a little additional air and hold for another five seconds.
Then, top up the breath again and hold for another five seconds.
Now you can exhale. In most cases, your hiccups will be gone.
